How days are counted
The count is how many days you move forward to get from the start date to the end date, so Monday to Tuesday is 1 day. The start date counts and the end date doesn't.
Tick “Count the end date as a full day” when both dates should count, such as leave that runs from a Monday to the Friday of the same week, which is 5 days off.
Workdays
Workdays are Monday to Friday. Public holidays aren't taken off, because they vary by country and region.
Calendar months
Calendar time counts whole months first, then the days left over. If the start date is a day a shorter month doesn't have, that month ends on its last day: 31 January plus one month is 28 February, or 29 February in a leap year.
Bookmark a countdown
If you set only an end date, the link counts from the day you open it. Bookmark it and it works as a countdown. Once you pick a start date, the link keeps that date.
